Drinking and driving-related motor vehicle crashes in general account for 28% of all traffic-related fatalities in our country.  Each state is responsible for creating its own laws for drinking and driving crimes. With national statistics like these, it is no wonder states like Arizona have chosen to crack down on drinking and driving-related crimes to protect their citizens. It has been a combined effort at the federal and state levels, including nonprofits and citizen advocacy groups, to reduce the threat of impaired driving on our roadways.
